Gábor has been a partner in the IFRS team of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Budapest, since 1997. After several years in the audit department and three years as a controlling manager in Citibank Hungary, Gábor re-joined PwC and became a full-time member of PwC’s IFRS Accounting Consulting Services group in March 2003. His primary responsibility is to assist major PwC clients in the application of IFRS in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in the transition to IFRS. He gained international experience by working in the Central IFRS Group of PwC London for two years starting in 2005, where he assisted several major clients with their transition to IFRS and worked on complex IFRS technical issues that arose at PwC’s international offices.
Gábor is also the client training leader for PwC Hungary, heading the firm’s ‘PwC Academy’ in Budapest. The Academy provides trainings to corporates and individuals primarily in IFRS. As the lead instructor for the PwC Academy, he has taught in over 40 different training events in the past two years to major clients in Hungary, and several other countries – including oil and gas specific training to MOL in Hungary and to the Mongolian Petroleum Agency.
